Mr. Rashid Hussain

Rashid Hussain is a distinguished and accomplished faculty member at the Department of Media and Communication Studies, Karakoram International University, where he has been serving since 2011. With an extensive background in electronic media, Rashid holds a Master’s degree from the International Islamic University, specializing in electronic Media.

Following his academic pursuits, Rashid embarked on a dynamic career in media and communications. He initially joined the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting as a Research Officer, where he honed his skills in media analysis and research. His expertise subsequently led him to ARY News, where he contributed as a Research Assistant for the program “Off the Record.”

Rashid’s professional journey progressed as he joined the Ministry of Communication (National Highway Authority) as a News Coordinator. In this capacity, he leveraged his technical and media skills to enhance the organization’s communication strategies.

An expert in electronic media, Rashid is also a certified Trainer of Trainers (TOT) for digital media trends by Internews USA, Pakistan chapter. His research interests lie predominantly in quantitative research, with a strong emphasis on content analysis.

Rashid Hussain’s blend of academic knowledge and practical experience renders him an invaluable asset in the field of media and communication studies.
Rashid Hussain is also a PR expert and serves as the media advisor for the PR department at KIU. His contributions continue to shape the future of media education and research in Gilgit Baltistan .
