Tanveer Abbas

Tanveer Alam, a dedicated student pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communication with a strong passion for storytelling and filmmaking, as well as a keen interest in media dynamics. I hail from the Haramosh Valley in Gilgit-Baltistan and currently reside in Khomer. Throughout my academic journey, I have developed a solid foundation in communication theories, research methods, and multimedia projects. This portfolio showcases my academic and creative endeavors, highlighting my skills in filmmaking and editing, visual communication, and critical thinking.

Through various projects and assignments, I have explored the intricacies of mass media, spanning print and broadcast journalism, digital media, and public relations. Notably, I secured first place at the World Environmental Day event in Gilgit, organized in collaboration with esteemed organizations such as AKAH Pakistan, PRCS, WWF, Forest Department, and GB Tourism Department, for my project “From Barren to Blooming.” Additionally, I won first place at the short film contest organized by the Gilgit-Baltistan Tourism Department on World Tourism Day in 2023 for my film “Reviving the Earth.”

Professionally, I have been working as an Editor at GB+ Network since 2020 and as a technical staff member at Al Quaim Network and Mayaro Films. I am excited to continue exploring the realms of mass communication and filmmaking, leveraging my skills to make a meaningful impact.
